Office 2013 Plugin No longer working

asked on November 13, 2014

Hi,

I have a user who last week was working quite fine within Excel 2013 using the Office 2013 Plugin for Laserfiche.

This week, something seems to have changed and now the Plugin does not load anymore.

If I go into Excel -> File -> Options -> Add-Ins, select the COM-Addins, click on GO button I can see that there are 4 LF plugins. 3 of the old Office plugins are ticked except the 2013 one. So I enable it and the Laserfiche Plugin appears on the ribbon.

Now, if I close Excel and open again, the plugin is gone. Repeat the above and the same happens again.

Up until now, the user was using the plugin without issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Sheldon

Hi Raymond,

Thank you for the feedback.

The settings as you had it described above were exactly like that before and after I performed a reinstall of the current client 9.1.

I then followed your instructions anyway with the same result.

I then performed an upgrade to Client 9.2 and the issue is now resolved.

A simple upgrade to 9.2 on the other problem PC's also resolved the issue.

Thanks!

Sheldon

Is the User local admin? Has that changed?

Turn UAC off, reboot then uninstall the client and the add-in, then reinstall it.

After you reinstall it, go to the registry: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\Excell2013SaveToLaserfiche.save.

Look for the Load Behavior key.  You should have it there as a DWord.  Value should be 3.  If it is not there, add it.  If the value is not equal to 3, set it to 3. Test it, then reboot the box and check the behavior.
