Co-Worker Wanting to Sign Up on Laserfiche

asked on November 6, 2014

I have a new co-worker who will be scanning.  I told her to sign up with Laserfiche to take advantage of support/training, etc.  When she goes to sign up, it ask her for a serial number.  Why?  What is this serial number?  I didn't have to do this 3 years ago?  Would appreciate an answer.

Thanks,

The serial number is listed in the About dialog in your Laserfiche Client. You can open that dialog from the Help menu.

Every Laserfiche customer has a serial number. You just may not have known. I'm guessing this is used so they can associate you with the correct account in their database.

Thanks.  I'll check with our IS department and/or LF Administrator.

Since this was several years ago, I'm guessing there is a change. Have they moved the serial number to somewhere else? I'm having the same issue and the about pop-up tells me the version of Laserfiche but definitely does not have a serial number. Any help appreciated!

Paige, I am assuming you are using the Web Client and not the Windows Client? Miruna's answer applies to the Windows Client.

Hi I think with your comment and the original that i may have found it.  i was originally looking in the laserfiche forms web app, but in the server repository Laserfiche application i did find a serial number.  Thank you!
