Question

Why is there a variation in my highlight annotation between scanned documents and those created via snapshot?

asked on November 6, 2014

When my users highlight a document the yellow is very bright. When they highlight a document they have used snapshot to create, the highlight is a dull yellow color. They would like me to explain why this happens.

In terms of handling this moving forward, users can scan and/or Snapshot in monochrome with it's appropriate rather than using color. If color is required though, then you can set the following attribute on the Everyone group:

[SETTINGS]RenderHighlightOnColor

and give it a value of 0. This will make the highlights on color images with white backgrounds appear similar to highlights on monochrome images. With the attribute in place, the above samples now look like

This did not fix the issue in version 8.3, but it did fix it in version 9.1.1.
