Question

2 Forms Servers, 1 Database, Multiple Concerns

asked on November 4, 2014

We're looking to implement 2 Forms servers that point to 1 database.  One of the Forms server will be for internal users and the other will be for external/public users.  Are the white papers or best practices for this type of configuration?

Ultimately, we want "mask" URLs for external forms in order to NOT show the machine name of the Forms server.

However, this text from the configuration page has me worried: When multiple Forms Servers are connected to the same database, you must specify a Primary Forms Server that can be accessed by the routing service and users for each other Forms Server.

Also want to ensure the link for resuming draft forms for external users will be masked and fully functional.

Xiuhong,

Are there any concerns with this type of setup?  Multiple Forms servers facing connecting to a single database?
