It would be nice if we could have the Thank You Page be able to display after a user completes a task. At different stages in a large process a form may need to be downloaded, printed or emailed on a distribution list to people that do not necessarily need to be users. With the way it is set up currently, the process would have to be broken down into multiple processes that redirect and trigger other processes. Also, it would aid in giving instructions/expectations to the task participants for the next steps in the process without having to overload them with emails. It would be very useful to add these current features into the tasks! Thanks for considering our feedback!

Feature Request: Thank You Page Addition to Tasks

Great idea!
Hi there,
You mention two ideas:
1. user able to download/print/email a finished user task form
2. user able to see next step instruction
In idea 2, can you give me a real-world scenario? Does user need to perform another task with this instruction? or it's a notification to user?
Abby,
For example, we have a large process in forms that involves many users performing tasks over a 100 day period. Once they are notified they have a task to complete and go in to complete it, it would be nice to let them know they have done what they need to for this section and the next step in the process is for "user B" to complete a task (this is useful because if tasks have to be performed on certain days and a user happens to be out on their day and the other users are aware of this, a Laserfiche forms admin can go in and complete the task for them) It just creates better communication in very large processes to compensate for the unexpected things that happen in a workplace from day to day. Email notifications would work, but there are already many email notifications being utilized through forms and workflows etc. It's overwhelming. It would be better for them to get a little message saying "Hey, just to let you know..." once their task is completed. It also cuts down on confusion for users that are new to Laserfiche. They wont feel so unsure. Also, it can let them know they do not need to expect to participate in the process for another 2 weeks or so. I hope this clarifies for you. Let me know if you still have questions.
We do something similar on the Thank Page on the initial submission so the user knows what the process is. When it's an authenticated user, maybe just the ability to show the next steps would be great, kind of like the Action History when you look at an instance in History.
So they could see where it's been and where it's going.
So the use case now would be when you have a multi-part form submission comprised of the message start event and two user tasks with workflows in between to lookup vendor information such as the AP Requisition process in the BPL. The submission event is not the end of the actual submission. There are two user tasks that work together to finish the submission. Thus we would need a Thank You page after the user task that truly completes the submission.
