Question

object reference not set to an instance of an object

asked on October 28, 2014

I am receiving an error when I am trying to open a Quick Fields session. Before it is able to open the session, I receive an error "Object Reference Not Set to An Instance of An Object."

Would this be due to an unregistered .dll?

Any thoughts on this issue?

Just when opening sessions? Does it work with new sessions? Do you have a more detailed message?

It only appears for a few sessions that already exist.

It works fine for new sessions.

No, I do not have a more detailed message.

When you get the message, is it with sessions created elsewhere?

I am pretty sure they made changes to already existing sessions and then saved the updated session within a new file path.

Does the message have a Details button?

If you open a session afterwards (any other session, even a new blank one) is the message listed in the application errors pane (press F12 to open it)? If it is listed, could you post its details here?

I received the same error in the application errors pane for a working session after I started a Laserfiche Capture scan.

I noticed that the same session that displayed the error appeared under "C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\QuickFields\Locks"

There could be different reasons for that error message. Did you find the details for this occurrance?
