Workflow Query Data and then add 1

I am trying to create a Workflow that will read an SQL Table column 'Purchase Order', find the highest value, then increase that value by 1.

Here's a stored procedure that should help you. This link is for Forms, but you can use the custom query function to do the same thing in workflow once you've created it.
