Question

Does Quick Fields crop pages when processing a packet

asked on October 26, 2014

When a packet of student files is scanned, Quick Fields is cropping pages that are longer than 8.5x11. These documents are scattered throughout the packet. Is there a setting within Quick Fields that utilizes the page size from the raw image files?

Issue was resolved by changing settings within Capture Perfect that was scanning the documents. The end-user changed our pre-configured template that we created and tested with.

Quick Fields does not have any automatic auto-cropping functionality. What is the scan engine?

If you are connected to a scanner and scanning into Quick Fields, make sure the paper size is set to scanner maximum.  If you have the scanner paper size set to letter, then the scanner itself will only scan 8.5x11 and not a function of Quick Fields.

We are using Universal Capture and pulling from a local folder. The scanning process is using a 3rd party process and the images appear fully within the raw files. Once Quick Fields processes the documents, it cuts off the data outside of that region.
