send an e-mail when a user open a document

Hi everyone,

 

Does anyone know if is there a way to send an e-mail to a group of people when someone access a specific document?

Viewing documents does not generate notifications in Workflow. You could set up a trigger on the Audit Trail database to email when view events are inserted.
