Laserfiche Client continuously freezes

We have one machine the client continuously freezes on. It will freeze for a minute or two at a time and is seriously affecting productivity of this person.

I have uninstalled and re-installed a couple times, uninstalled all unnecessary programs and pretty much ran every virus and malware scan there is. Just sitting idle, the busy icon will suddenly fire up when the client is open, and it does not when the client is closed. I have a sense that it is trying to connect to the server and cant sometimes, but that is just a guess at this point.

I may also add that this machine is identical to several other machines that don't have this issue.

In which case this would indicate an issue with the windows profile on that machine. Try re-creating the windows profile and see if that resolves the issue smiley

Thanks for providing the dump, it shows that the client is trying to submit usage data. Try disabling the Product Enrichment Program from the Help menu. We will look into fixing the freeze.

Hi Richard,

 

I would try uninstalling and re-installing .net. I've seen problems like this before relating to .net. Also try clearing out the temp directory (Start>Run>%temp% and delete everything in that folder that you can).

If you log into the workstation as a different windows user do you still see the same problem?

Thanks Robert. I will go ahead and do that even though I have implemented the fix Chris suggested and created a new user for that work station and all seems well.

Hello everyone,
I have a query Laserfiche version 9.1.1.486 and every time you want to send the scanned file to fix freezes and have to reboot.
