Question

Question

why arent my lookup rules populating correctly?

asked on October 13, 2014

lookup rules are not matching accordingly to database.  for example, when campus/dept matches data source column TYPE, fill campus/dept name with data source value NAME.  this worked before in 9.1 where i would select TYPE and my 4 options of the different divisions in our school district would populate (campus, curriculum, operations, and secondary) then by selecting 1 of the TYPES, NAME would populate for example:  if CAMPUS was selected a list of my campuses would show up then another look up rule would be created when campus name is populated, admin name is populated as well.  i can't do that in 9.2.  any ideas??????

The way lookups behave in Forms 9.2 has changed from 9.1. We had to make a few adjustments in order to get some of ours to work as expected. On this page in the Forms Help files, you will see some boxes that reference changes from 9.1 to 9.2. I would read through those.

Hi there,

Can you give a more detail example? Which lookup logic that lookup rule cannot cover in 9.2?
