Feature Request: Attached Timer Event Email task to have Task URL available as token

asked on October 9, 2014

Can we please have a token available to us when we use an Attached Timer Event to a User Task that will make contain the User Task URL that it is related to. I understand how other times it may be hard to understand, but in this type of situation, it's attached to an user task, it would be nice to have the ability to send the URL to the person as a reminder after a certain length of time.

If all it's being sent for is the reminder, you can loop the path back to the User Task after the timer event and it will include the Task URL, but I can see where sometimes you may want to change the content of the email to actually say it is a reminder rather than just sending the exact same text again.

I also do not want to destroy the original URL, that would only serve to confuse the users.

The issue with this workaround is that you have to interrupt the task or you get multiple tasks. If you interrupt the task, then the previous emails with the previous URLs are no longer valid. Clicking the interrupted link tells the user the task is no longer available confusing the user.

Reminder emails really need to include a direct link to the task. So I also would like to see this feature request realized.

@████████, I completely agree. The workaround is just that because there aren't a lot of other options. There needs to be a reminder feature built into the user task.

Task reminder has been added in Forms 10.4.5, also the user task resume id as well as the task link are available as tokens as well.
