Question

Last Modified By column is Blank

asked on October 9, 2014

Hello….

Please refer to the attached picture for this question.  The documents( not shown) are TIFF.

Under what circumstances is it possible to have a Last Modified Date but the Last Modified By column is blank?

If this is normal behavior in appropriate circumstances, are these updates included in Audit Trail and how could I find out who made the updates?

Thank you.

It was actually added in 8.2. Are you indicating that the values were present previously and then after the migration they are not?

Laserfiche began storing "Last Modified By" in version 8. If you upgraded from 7, this column would be blank for those documents. Also, when you attach a volume or import a briefcase that came from another repository, the last modifier will be blank for Laserfiche users that don't exist in the current repository.

Hi Robert….

Our first version of LF was v8.x so there was no conversion from v7.x and briefcase importing is not in the picture either….that leaves attaching a volume.

After some further investigation, it appears that the loss of a user in the Last Modified By was when we went from v8.x to v9.0.  The repositories and users for v9.0 are the same as they were in v8.x.

Does that qualify as attaching volumes?

Thank you.
