In Forms 9.2 we have a form that has an attachment field and goes through several steps in the approval process. If I look at the originally submitted form I see a link that lets me view the attachment. If I am an approver and the form is in Read-Only mode at the approval step then I also see a link to view the attachment. The issue arises when I am an approver and the form is not in read-only mode at that approval step. Instead of seeing a link, I only see an option to Choose Files Or drag files here. I've confirmed this behavior in both IE 11 and Chrome 37.

The issue was only with Forms that were in process. Any new forms created handled the attachments correctly.

Have you tested making that particular field read only? Abby Shen, one of the Forms developers posted this in another thread:
"The signature field will display the original value if it's a readonly field.
If the signature field is not read only, which means this form needs to be resigned, the original value won't be populated.
Please try set the second form signature field to be readonly."

I know that this isn't a signature field, but I'm guessing that it's possible that the fields are functioning similarly.
I can't set the field to read-only as they have to be able to attach during submittal. If I set the entire form to read-only during approval then it works correctly. The problem is that now the users can't make other changes. It needs to show the documents that have been attached even when it is not in read-only.
I can't reproduce the issue based on the description, can you open a support case and provide the xml for the exported process? And we also need to know which version the process is created. 9.2 or previous version?
I can't get on the customer's system right now to provide the XML, but the process was created in 9.1 and functioned correctly. Now that they are 9.2 they have the issue. They have not created any new processes in 9.2 to see if the issue remains there.
Please in the customer's system whether the issue can be reproduced if download the process then upload the process, if issue can be reproduced with the uploaded process, then provide the support with the exported xml, if the issue can only be reproduced with the original process, then please provide a copy of the customer's database to the support.
