LF Client 9.1.1.548 crashes when delete all pages and trying to paste new pages

asked on October 3, 2014

1- Document "A" got 2 pages.

2- Document "B" got 2 pages.

3- Open Document "A" and copy all pages.

4- Open Document "B" and delete All Pages (the 2 pages).

5- If prompted to delete the empty document press "No".

This step crashes the client:

6- Paste pages copied from Document "A" into Document "B".

Notes:

1- The crash happen only if you deleted all pages, if you delete only 1 page out of 2 from Document "B", then you can paste pages copied from Document "A".

2- Instead of trying to paste pages from document "A" into document "B", drag document "A" into document "B" to move pages, this action does not crash the client but throw an error "You cannot move or delete pages in a document while you are editing it. Please save the copy of this document that you have been editing and try again"

Hi Ali,

I've just tested this with 9.2.0.343 and at step 4 it does not prompt you to delete the document. It does it automatically by the looks of things. I don't have 9.1.1 to hand at the moment. Get up to 9.2 and test again is the best bet here I guess.

Cheers! laughyes

There's a prompt for whether you want to delete the empty document after having deleted all pages. You may have checked the option to "Don't ask me again" while clicking "Yes" to delete the empty document, which prevents this prompt from appearing subsequently.

Hi,

Was this ever fixed in a hotfix?

We are on LF 9.1 Service Pack 2 and we are experiencing the same issue.

Thanks

This issue is fixed in Laserfiche 9.2.0 Service Pack 1 and higher.

The Document Viewer could close unexpectedly when pasting pages into a document whose pages were just deleted. This issue is now resolved. (120550)
