ERROR: A "Validation of viewstate MAC failed" Error Occurs When Logging In To Web Access 9 After Installing Windows Updates 2894854, 2894855, or 2894856.

Both Laserfiche and Microsoft and various other sites indicate that the proposed fix should only be a "temporary fix". Is this in fact true, or can it be applied permanently? What are the risks if the security updates are rolled back vs.just using the "fix" permanently.

Is there any information on plans to provide a permanent solution ?

Web Access 9.2 includes the permanent fix. We are working on hotfixes for Web Access 9.0 and 9.1.

The recently released Web Access 9.1.1 Service Pack 2 also contains a permanent fix for the issue. You can find more information on it here: https://support.laserfiche.com/KB/1013574.
