Question

Forms are not stored in Laserfiche Client

asked on September 30, 2014

Hello,

I've just made a Varkit installation and create a form with Laserfiche Forms. When I submit it, I get no entry in my repository for this form but if I look at the manage page of Laserfiche form I see that the total column value has been incremented.

If I make a form with an approbation step in the process I can log with another user to do the approbation, active and total counts are right but I still get no entry in the repository.

When I look at the LF forms configuration, settings seems to be good. On the repository page when I select the repository I get a message like "connection to repository has been checked" with a green background. (this might not be the exact label. I had to translate it because I'm french).

Regards.

There are two ways to configure Forms to save the form submission to a repository. You can either use the "Save to Repository" service task or you can configure "Save to Laserfiche"

The "Save to Repository" service task is recommended over using the "Save to Laserfiche" method.

Hi Alex,

I already use "Save to repostory" service task. On the other hand, I've found a question from a person who had the same issue. One of the answers were to look at the Window Application log for an error from "Laserfiche forms routing service" so I did it.

Indeed, I have errors because of Saxon so I've installed it. Now I have a different error again with Saxon, here is the error code :

01/10/2014 02:10:39
Message: Le fichier spécifié est introuvable
Stack trace:    à System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithCreateProcess(ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
   à System.Diagnostics.Process.Start()
   à Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.HtmlToPdfConverter.CallWkHtmlToPdfViaCommandLine()
   à Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.HtmlToPdfConverter.GeneratePrint(String& pdfFileLoc, String& tifFileLoc)
   à Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.LFSaveToLfService.GetPrintFromHtmlForm()
   à Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.LFSaveToLfService.GetPDFAndSaveToLF()

FYI, after Saxon installation and before submit another form I've reboot the "Laserfiche forms routing service" and the "Laserfiche service".

Regards.

Go into the Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall the wkhtmltopdf application if it is listed there. Then in the Forms 9.2.0 installation package there should be a wkhtmltox-0.11.0_rc1-installer.exe file under the Support folder. Please run this manually and follow the steps to install the component. Make sure UAC is disabled on the machine before installing. Once it is installed, please try to submit a form and see if it gets saved into the repository.
