Question

Laserfiche Mobile and BYOD

asked on September 29, 2014

Hello Everyone!

Are you using Laserfiche Mobile?

If you are, are you using it on organization-owned devices, personal devices, or both?

If you use it on personal devices, what types of data do you allow access to, and are there concerns about accessing that data on a personal device?

Thanks!

Hi Michael,

I use it personally. I have a few iPad users that sign in manually with their domain credentials. We really don't have any restrictions for its use right now. I count on the users domain security to keep them in their own backyard.

As an admin, I am using it on my android phone as a utility tool. I have a specific entry that kicks off a workflow upon template change. I am currently using it to rename and replace corrupt files on a specified computer. I have an ERP system that is a 'repeat offender' with a particular issue. In the specified entry, I have a drop down field with all of the computer names on my network. The Workflow compiles a script using the computer name I chose as a token.  So in essence, I am making admin repairs from my phone. I LOVE it. There is lots of potential to expand in this area!

Hopefully this gives someone an idea.
