Question

Does the Laserfiche Server save all date and time data in GMT 0?

asked on September 26, 2014

When querying the Laserfiche database, I noticed that some of the date/time data is stored in GMT 0, not the local time zone (Pacific). Is this the default behavior? Or is our server misconfigured?

Does the Toolkit translate date/time data into local time? Or do requests via the Toolkit require calculations for local time?

Yes, all timestamps in the database are stored in UTC and converted to local time on the client side. The toolkit converts to local time for you.
