There are a lot of examples how Laserfiche can be used for organization onboarding processes. In IT one of the processes that could be helped with is the ability to have Workflow create an Active Directory User account for an employee. I know that you can script your own activities, but I think this is such a common scenario for organizations that use Laserfiche that it might be considered as a built in activity. I would imagine this would be right up there with being able to create calendar items, which has already been added as an activity. The ability to also assign users to specific groups within AD would also be helpful so that they could automatically be given the correct permissions in the domain dependent on possibly their position, location, etc.

Feature Request: Active Directory User Creation Activity
Answer
I'll add it to our list.
Miruna - do you know if any progress has been made on this ability? We have a client ready to spend a major amount of money and this is the key to closing the deal. Any thoughts, help or advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
Their main objective is the creation of the account in Active Directory.

No, we don't have a release date at this time.
Miruna - Thanks for the reply. We are going to proceed with a custom script.
Are you going to create a script that will run in workflow?

I'll second that. I'm actually in the middle of developing something to do just this through Lincdocs, workflow, and some Powershell scripting. It would certainly simplify things if there were a built-in activity.
Is there any update on this? I have been getting more and more requests to automate AD users through Workflow.
Would love to know if there are any updates with this request. I know it is not an easy one, but this is exactly what we are looking for. We can script for now. Hoping after 5 years, there may be some progress with this.
