Question

Is there a way to automate Retention schedule in LF records to generate Report email some sort notification? What is the best way to achieve this?

asked on September 24, 2014

Hi

My client was asking if they could get some sort of report that would automatically be generated when retention schedules mature.  They were hoping for some kind of report that could send out notification.   I am not sure if this could be done by default.   I suppose we could do this via workflow on each retention schedule.     I am hoping for a solution that over see and monitors all retention schedule.

We migrated client from Lotus note environment and they suggested that such reporting was port of that environment.

I appreciate any suggestions..

The easiest way would be to have Workflow run a records management search for all record folders currently up for disposition or cutoff. This workflow could be run every day or week, and email links for all eligible records. That way, all the records manager has to do is click the links, perform specified disposition actions, and move on with their day.

Another option would be for the records manager to set up this search as a saved search, and just run it from the Laserfiche Client.
