Industry Specific Group

asked on September 16, 2014

I would like to see a group specific to our industry.  We are an electric distribution cooperative utility.

We are a member owned electric co-op located in north/central Kentucky that provides power for just over 29000 residential, commercial, and industrial members.  There are currently 840 distribution co-ops such as us and 65 generation and transmission cooperatives nation wide.  We, along with our two sister co-ops, Kenergy and Jackson Purchase, and our G&T, Big Rivers Electric, have been Laserfiche customers since early 2000.  It would be great to hear some of the challenges that other co-ops have found solutions to using Laserfiche.  However, if there are not many customers that would comprise our specific group, a slightly broader group such as "Public Utilities" would be helpful.  I will list below a link to our website as well as a link to NRECA to give you a better idea of who we are and what we do.

Thanks for the great information, Glenn! We'll take a look at our customer base and see how many folks would fit into this group with you. Moving forward, we're definitely looking to expand groups, with the eventual goal of community members being able to create their own, however we're keeping it small to begin with as we would like to see these initial groups grow become vibrant communities.

Hi Glenn, welcome to the group! Would you mind telling me a bit more about your company/industry? I'm curious to see which other customers might fall into this category.

Thank you!
