Is it possible to supersede a Record Folder?

It's simple enough to have records supersede another by using the relationship link which will automatically cutoff the previous record, but I noticed the same cannot be done with a record folder (and thus all its contents).  Is there some other way to accomplish this?  If not, can this be a feature request?

Hi Travis,

 

The "Supersedes/Superseded by" relationship is designed specifically for individual records.

 

So that we can better understand your use case, can you explain the scenario for how you would like to use this functionality on record folders and their contents? Would the superseding record folder contain a 1:1 match of records for the superseded record folder, or would the contents vary? What sort of records would you like to see this functionality for? What would you like to have happen with the contents of the superseded record folder?
