PDF issue in Forms

asked on September 14, 2014

Forms does not save attachments if the attachment extension ".pdf" ,it just save the name of the attachment and if you try to open it you found it empty document with no size no Path no pages.

But it saves any other attachments (Word,Excel,etc...) correctly.

Form version is 9.0.1.240 and there is no plan to upgrade now.

I need help on that.

Hi Amir,

Best advice I can give you.....Get up to Forms 9.1 as the first step. Then go from there.

Upgrading is pretty straight forward. Download the installers and run the setup. There are no surprises with an upgrade. Next>next>next etc. Pretty easy. If you are in a virtual environment you can take a snapshot before you start if you are concerned. LF try and make this as easy as possible. wink

Good luck! laughyes

Hi Amir,

Could you solve this issue? I am having a similar problem and the server is running LF 9.2.

When I save an attachment from Forms the file comes up without the image. I receive the following message instead "Unable to display the electronic file type for this document".

I have installed Adobe Acrobat and now I can open it. Looks like LF is saving attachments from Forms as electronic documents without converting them to LF documents.

Do you know if there is any way to convert PDF to LF pages from Forms?

I can do it straight from Lf Client,  however this does not work for attachments from Forms.

Thanks,
