I am having an issue with autoname in 9.1. If I use %(name) token, it will fill in the document name as %(name). If it is untitled, the document name is untitled. If I have it blank, the document name will populate. If I leave it blank, it will eventually default back to untitled. I have experimented with 9.0 to the latest build. Am I missing something?

Answer
You can't use the %(Name) token for importing files in the Client. Is it sufficient to just uncheck "Importing files" under the Client's Autoname option? This configuration should allow for documents to use their original names when you import them.

Can you clarify what product you're referring to and in what context it's being used? Is this just the Autoname option in the Laserfiche Client? Please indicate the action you are taking and what you are trying to achieve.
I feel like the user may also have a workflow or something happening that the name of an entry is changing. It seems odd to thing something will eventually just happen without something causing it
In the client > Tools > Options > Autoname is what I am talking about, sorry for not being clear. I have been testing on different machines and have found that some work and some don't. There is no consistency. I'm on version 9.1.1.486. I have all the boxes checked on when to use the default document name.
Which scenario specifically are you performing to create the document?
Please refer to this help page which covers the usage of tokens in the Client and Scanning.
For the %(Name) token, you'll notice it states
The file name for the scanned image. This token is available for use with Laserfiche Universal Capture. It can also be used in the Laserfiche client applications to populate fields for documents.
So when using Laserfiche Scanning with Universal Capture where you set the default document name to be %(Name), is there an issue in that specific scenario?
The token%(name) does not work with drag and drop, cut and paste, or Send to Laserfiche. It works with the Office Integration.

Ah.. that works! Thank you!
