In addition to the whitepapers listed above, there is a Presales Place article on the VAR portal that has instructions for creating self signed certificates for use in demonstrations and testing. If you search for "creating digital signatures for demos", it should be the first result. Your VAR kit license includes digital signatures, so you should be able to follow the instructions and give it a shot.
