Delay Email | 30 Days Prior to Due Date

Hello again! 

 

  I am setting up a workflow to rename, file, and send an email to users prior to expiration regarding licenses and contracts.  I have a field to capture the expiration date.  I currently am using the delay function to delay the email sent to the appropriate user 30 days prior to the expiration date.  For some reason, when I use the token for the expiration date, the workflow is not picking up the date and is sending an email immediately.  I have attached a photo of the workflow for analysis.  Is there a token calculation that I should use to capture the appropriate date?  If so, what is it?

Hi Christopher,

 

This is an excellent case for using the Date Token Calculator in Workflow. With this activity you can perform calculations specifically on dates. See the image below for how you can modify a date using this activity:
