We are facing the issue of data loss with word documents accessed from LF repo. We have had at least 3 users complain about missing data in the word file sitting inside LF. The are using ctrl+s in word to save the file opened directly from LF repo. (no checkin checkout we are using simple double click on file inside LF Client).

No clue why the files are not being re-uploaded to LF properly. There are times also we have noticed where the Overwrite option popup screen does not show up as well. Its a hit and miss situation here it seems with the dialog box for overwriting the file and as a result properly saving data back to LF.

We have tried cleaning temp folders on regular basis but that is not helping either. Looks like if file is open for too long in word any changes made are being lost.

Not to mention the fact that word files open as "readonly" mode for certain users and the fix has been "emptying" their temp folders which fixes it. We should not have to do that and LF needs to debugged and made sure data losses are not taking place because of buggy LF and Office integration. We are on 9.1.1.486
