Question

Forms storing an error page "LF Forms has encountered a problem"

asked on September 5, 2014

Hi,

I'm running into an issue where, when a form saves to Laserfiche, it actually stores an error page instead.  Pictured below:

When I view the results in Forms for the instance, I can see the completed form just fine.  Thoughts?  I tried restarting the Forms Routing Service, since it showed up in the error log, but that didn't help.

I upgraded the machine from 9.1 to 9.1.1 and it's storing forms properly now.

Thanks for all your help though!

Within the settings for the "Save to Repository" task, is the form that is selected to save correct?

Do you mean under "Publish"?  I have it specified there to save as a TIFF.

For the "Save to Repository" task, you should have something similar to this:

Under "Form" is the correct form selected that you want saved to the repository?

Blake is referring to the "save to repository" service task in your process modeler for that form.

I'm not using a Service Task for this storage; this is just the "Save to Repository" option under the Publish tab right now.

What version of Forms are you using and could you take a screen shot of your process modeler?

He is using the Save to Laserfiche feature, not a Save to Repository service task. Do you have Save to Laserfiche configured on your Forms Configuration page?

Yes, it's currently configured to store in the \Laserfiche Forms\ default directory and the connection has been verified.

I would open a support case with Laserfiche.

I just tried to go the "Save to Repository" service task route and got the same error.

It is still storing the document as the "Laserfiche Forms has encountered an error.  You do not have sufficient rights to view this page." webpage again.

I had the same issue when I moved my forms site to another server and forgot to update the "Primary Forms Server URL" field in the Forms Configuration page. Hopefully this saves someone some time troubleshooting in the future.
