Weblink kicks user out during active session

asked on September 3, 2014 Show version history

This is the message from the user -

While working in laserfische over the last few weeks, I am continually kicked out of the system while actively doing searches.
I have been kicked out 2 times just in the last three minutes.
This seems to be an ongoing issue, as it is not uncommon for this to happen 4 – 5 times when I am doing active searches.

Attached is the screen it goes back to with the error message showing:

User uses weblink read only portal. No one else has complained about this. May be one other user had this issue it seems. They don't use it as much now.

She tried on IE and chrome both. Same issue on both browsers.

Hello Apurva,

I would suggest talking to your VAR about this.  It sounds like this is something that your VAR may need to open a support case to resolve.

Working though support like Rob suggests is a good idea, I think this will be tricky to trouble-shoot through this forum.  One thing you might want to do is to check in the administration console to see if that user has extra connections to the Laserfiche server.  WebLink seems to be reporting that their connection to the LF server was lost (for some reason), so you wouldn't expect to see any extra ones.

I have submitted ticket to our VAR.

I checked the sessions. There are none active for that user. Will keep an eye on it.

Thanks for response.

It's a timeout error that's being thrown. You might want to have different users try the exact search to see if they too get the error.
