Question

Question

Admin approve form if supervisor cannot.

asked on August 29, 2014

Is there a way for the forms admin to approve a form and send it to the next process without specifically naming the admin in the form?

Use case:  I have several forms that through formality are sent to the principal of a school to notify him/her of the form.  We have had problems with our network lately and have been asked if I can just approve it and send it on its way.  The specific forms do not show up for me as admin unless I put myself as a forms participant and receive the same email as the principal.

Is there another way around that?

I hear ya Dave. I have a feature request for this same reason. Currently the only way is by adding a timer to the user task and having it go down a different route, whether that's assigning it to a new user or just bypassing another step.

Thanks Blake, that answered my question on whether it is available or not.  It would be very nice to have a way an admin could step in on a process if need be!

You are able to use timer events. If you attach a timer to the process, you could have it send to a secondary approved approver or just to the next step if that is what the business logic dictates.
