Hey Derick,
From what I understand about the integration, our tool doesn't actually communicate with HTE/Sungard, but instead just processes the XML files that it generates. So in short, if they didn't change the format too much in these versions, it should work just fine. You might be able to find that information by contacting Sungard directly to find the details for each of their products.
Are there any others using the HTE integration that can offer their expertise on the subject?
Will HTE 8 work with Laserfiche version 9.x? If not will there be a new release of the integration express (HTE) anytime soon?
Hi Greg,
IX-HTE 8 is compatible with Laserfiche 9.
Have you seen/heard of any clients having problems creating documents with LF 9.2.1? We have been back and forth with a client that is able to view documents through HTE, however, when they try and create a new document they receive an error message "Operation or command invalid for the request type of object", not sure why they are getting this message, but was wondering if anyone else has had success with the HTE integration and running the 9.2.1 client.
I did some investigation and I think I know what the problem is. IX-HTE uses a LF component called ImageEnable to communicate with the client, along with another component called LFSession. So, first of all, you will want to check that LFSession.exe is running using Windows task manager before you log in to a repository using the LF client. You can just run LFSession.exe if it's not running. It doesn't create any windows so you'll only know if it's running by checking task manager. Be sure it's running before you log in to a repository.
If it still doesn't work, then you'll need an updated version of ImageEnable which is able to communicate with the LF 9.2 client. Please contact LF technical support for an updated ImageEnable DLL.
So, the bottom line is that IX-HTE is supposed to work with LF 9.2 but some file updates might be required on the LF client side (no patches to IX-HTE should be required).
