Copy attachment from Outlook to LF?

I'm seem to recall being able to copy/paste email attachments from Outlook into a Laserfiche folder but a client highlighted that doesn't seem to work. I was able to recreate on my system but can't say for sure if it was something that used to work - the client says it did prior to an upgrade.

I try right click > Copy the attachment in Outlook then right clicking in LF but the paste option isn't available. I can copy/paste to Windows folders OK, and copy/paste documents from a Windows folder directly into LF.

I appreciate there are other ways to import email attachments into LF but the client finds them cumbersome. Drag and drop works fine for both emails and individual attachments.

What is the expected behaviour for this? What about copying the entire email - should that copy/paste into LF?

Hello Nigel,

I'm testing this with Outlook 2010 and Laserfiche Client 9.1.1 and I'm finding similar results. Dragging and dropping works perfectly, but I'm not able to copy and paste the attached file(s)/original email from Outlook directly to the Laserfiche Client. What version were they on previously?

I believe this is the intended functionality, but I can test a previous version of the Laserfiche Client to see if the functionality existed in the past, and if necessary, why this functionality was removed.

Hi Rob,

Did you have any luck with this? I've had an identical query from another customer saying it used to work in LF 8.3 and now doesn't work in LF9.2.1 (they have recently upgraded).
