Feature Request: Online Help pages marked for last revision

asked on August 27, 2014

I have seen a few separate times that documentation inside the online help files for various LF products have been inaccurate due to features being updated or removed.

One example can be found from this LF Answer: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/62005/Webaccess-Automatic-Login-option-via-LF-account--profile-not-available-

My Feature request is that all online documentation (and maybe even not online documentation) be marked for last edit date and/or the version that the article/page is using so that if I read a help page, i can see how current it is. I understand that it would be hard to keep all documentation 100% up to date with each change, but it would be nice to at least have an idea of how old an article may be and take things from there. If a feature has not been updated in a whole version, then i would do more research before trying to use it, or expect that I may need some help if it does not work right.

The most recent help files can be found in KB article 1012253 on the Support Site. We're constantly updating the help files; as new features are added, we update the help files for that version of the software. Make sure you're using the version of the help files that matches the version of the software you're on. You can find the version number in the URL, or at the bottom of the help article you're looking at.

That being said, I'll send the feature request to add dates to the articles to the User Education team.
