Question

Where is Template Metadata stored in SQL?

asked on August 26, 2014

I have looked and looked and cannot find it.

I have about 10 templates for which I need to retrieve metadata.  We are leveraging the metadata to populate reports.  I am attempting to pull this information through the SQL server, but I cannot locate the default database/tables where this information is stored.

I can see LF_8, LF_WF_8, & LF_WF_8.3 databases in SQL.

Hello Christopher,

I'm using Laserfiche Client 9.1, but I believe the table is the same as it was in 8.3.

You should see the database that you created (or chose to use) when creating the repository.  Within that database, there should be a table with the label dbo.propval that contains the strings of text within metadata fields.

Please be careful when directly accessing the Laserfiche database, as changing values may cause system instability.
