What you have attached is the view of a thumbnail for an entry that does not have a TIFF image associated with it. The image you are likely seeing within the Document Viewer is not the TIFF image of the entry, but a view of the electronic file. In order to have the thumbnail show like a mini page, there must be a TIFF image for this entry. A TIFF image can be generated from the Client using the right-click drop down menu. Choose Generate Pages from this menu. That should give you the thumbnail appearance you are looking for.

Are you sure there are image pages for that document? The text-based thumbnail is what's shown when the image-based one that you are expecting doesn't exist and can't be generated.
The actual full-sized image is next to the thumbnails. And the thumbnails do show text on the page ... but a "thumbnail" of the actual type on the page at 100%, not a thumbnail of the whole page reduced to the size of a thumbnail. Please look at the pdf with my original post to see what the thumbnails look like.
The page images are in fact tifs. I've attached a new pdf of the entire search results "page".
You can see the funny thumbnails and the properties of the images.
Since I just started having the problem several months ago, could it be that I'm using Windows XP and Explorer 8? Our County computers are being slowly changed out. I didn't think I was a high priority, but I may change my status if this is a likely cause.

I know that LF 8.1 client had issues with not properly displaying the thumbnails. I have a customer that due to a custom ImageEnable integration, were stuck on LF 8.1 clients and they had the same issue with their thumbnails.
I have Laserfiche 8.2.1.672.
