1) Scanning Profiles - similar for what Snapshot has now - but the ability to set up and choose from different profile (e.g. one for color scanning that contains Blank page removal; another for Grayscale scanning that has Auto-rotate, Volumes etc) and it will automatically load saved settings.

2) Have a pop-up calendar via Date fields within Scanning. I know its there in the main LF client, but I have had several requests for this within Scanning.

These come directly from a customer who would like someone to follow up with her...

Hi Brian,

The functionality you requested related to scanning profiles is available with Laserfiche Quick Fields. If your customers would like to be able to configure and save scanning profiles, then Quick Fields sessions are the way to go!

As for the calendar picker in Laserfiche Scanning, I will pass this request along to our development team.

Hi Kelsey – thank you for your response. While I concur that QF would work for most Image Processing events, I don’t think that it would address Paper Size, Paper Source or Color settings. Additionally, for a county it would be pricey to have to purchase dozens of QF licenses… Thank you for passing along the calendar option.

I like the idea of scanning profiles, but I'd like the ability to tie them to templates.

For example: If the user is going to scan something into Template A it defaults to a certain profile, and if they select Template B they get another one.

I am reporting differences in template field behavior when using Snapshot vs. Scanner.

Users are adding documents via drag and drop, or LF snapshot: when they select any template that has “Short date” fields they are presented with a calendar / date picker for those fields – as expected.
Users are scanning documents in: when they select any template that has “Short date” fields they are NOT being presented with a calendar / date picker for those fields – this is not expected and allows for bad dates to be entered.

Please advise how to correct this.
