I was wondering if this has happened to anyone. I worked with a customer that was having issues attaching a volume from version 7 to a version 9.1.1.486 server. When they would attach the volume the I would get an error message stating the server could not be reached and the services would then restart. I tried the same volume on my own machine and the same issue happened. I tried a few other machines that had the latest server version on their machine and I was able to get have one machine that it was able to attach to. If a case is needed to be opened for this so that a possible SCR can be created I can do that.

Is the volume that you are trying to attach in the same machine as the LF server?
If not, please make sure that the LF server service is using a windows account that has full rights to the location. if you have is set to Local system, please change it.
In addition, please make sure that you are using a UNC path to attach the volume. Do not use a mapped path.
