Sign a document from a mobile device

Does LF Mobile allow you to sign a document. I couldn't find anything in the release notes and I don't see an option in the app but I just want to make sure before informing a customer. Seems like the perfect option for a mobile device.

Hi Chad,

 

You are correct that digital signatures are not available from the Laserfiche Mobile app. Since Laserfiche Digital Signatures are tied to a signing certificate located on the client machine, this becomes fairly complicated on a mobile device. As stated in the Laserfiche help files:

 "Every user who will be signing documents will need a valid personal signing certificate installed on any client computer they will be signing from. This includes the computer used to browse to the Web Access web site"

 

It's worth noting, though, that a signature area embedded in a Laserfiche form can be signed from a mobile device.

Ok, I did see that a signature field was coming in forms 9.2 but not in the current version.

There is one with custom code that you can use in the current 9.1 version of Forms and it works great!
