Question

Linking to a specific page or pages within a document?

asked on August 19, 2014

Instead of linking to a document per say, is it possible to link to a specific page (or pages) within a document?

Thanks!

Oh, well no. that is not supported currently. As for in the future, not sure, but that seems like something that would cause headaches to deal with

Thanks - short-cuts might do the trick!

Ok - then no - my question was not answered - I'm talking about document linking under the metadata tab - I just wanted to know if there might be a way (now or in the future) that a user could link to a specific page within a document and not to a Document (Or Group).

I apologize if my above post was not clear...

To clarify, you should select "This answers my question" for below the response that actually answered your question. This will mark that response with the orange checkmark, and will make it easier to people viewing the question in the future to see what the resolution was.

Is their a reason why LF employees arent marking some of these where the user is indicating the answer improperly that they are not marking them as approved by LF? I mean, my answer is textbook, and if the user doesnt want to mark the correct person or a person at all, then at least an answer that is approved would be the next highest post

Yes: we are giving users time to correctly mark the answer. If the user does not return to mark the post correctly, we will do so. If you look back among older posts, you should see that this is the case.

Oh, okay. I was just curious as I know for a fact I have a few answers that just have never been marked as answered and wondered why the LF controlled indication wasnt applied more often.
