Get Entry ID of an open document in Laserfiche Client using SDK

I have gone through the SDK documentation and I can see this under 'Handles and Locks' section:

 

" The Laserfiche Server is not aware that a Laserfiche 8 client has an entry open for viewing."

 

What I am after is, to get the Entry ID of the document(s) opened in Laserfiche client. Does the above statement mean that this is not achievable?

Check out Client Automation DocumentViewer Class. Will want the GetDocumentId() method.

 

This will only work if the document is open in the document viewer of the LF Client, and not just in the window as a search result or list of entries inside a folder
