Several users have called recently saying that they can no longer access Laserfiche through the web access portal using Internet Explorer. Chrome has no issues connecting these users, however in IE they receive a popup dialog asking them to authenticate. I am an administrator with access to most repositories, so I tried my password to see if that would work, but no luck. I tried resetting the browser to defaults but that had no effect. The page acts like it's trying to load content but always falls back to the popup dialog. Anyone see this before?

A browser pop-up indicates that they are trying to use automatic Windows authentication and it is failing. Is that how users are supposed to authenticate to Laserfiche?
Take a look at the answers to this question. You might want to try changing the order of the providers on the server.
Do you have any idea what could have changed to make it stop working?
In all honesty...nothing. Users are supposed to use Windows authentication, and if they want to check the button to have themselves automatically logged in that's fine too.
I'm thinking Michael Wells' response might be helpful in that post. Our LF server is a little old, more likely than not it's IIS7 as well.
Edit: The last login came from me, weeks ago, and I didn't do anything, I was just keeping an eye on the server with the task manager. The IIS version is 6.
Hi Cole,
You could try switching the authentication providers as Michael Wells' suggested in that post. Failing that, I think you're best shot is to contact your reseller and open up a support case with Laserfiche. We'll be able to give you targeted feedback and troubleshooting help that way.
Also- just to confirm- you are using kerberos, correct?
The issue seems to be strictly related to IE8. I just tried in IE11 and Web Access worked fine. The users didn't report this issue until Wednesday morning, and another one of our systems appears to be causing a similar issue with IE8, with the issue again not appearing until Wednesday morning. Apparently this past Tuesday was patch Tuesday and this week's focus was Internet Explorer. I'm now beginning to wonder if an IE update is the cause of our problems.
What is the client OS?
So far I've only noticed the issue on XP machines.
