Ricoh MFDs will support integration with LF.  There are several options.

Using Laserfiche Universal capture that is built into Laserfiche Scanning and Quickfields you can scan from a folder.  This gives you the option to use any machine that can scan to a folder location as a potential scanning option.  Also using Import agent these files can be auto imported to the Laserfiche repository with some basic metadata assigned.  Many MFD's support twain and could be used to scan into Laserfiche scanning directly as well.  This however may not be practical in most cases with the amount of space a large MFD will take up.

Having these options usually makes having a special integration for any particular machine unnecessary for our customers.

On the flip side we do have other software that can create custom front ends for copiers where metadata could be entered on the screen of a copier to be pulled when an import into the system occurred.  However the experience of typing on a copier screen leaves something to be desired.

Hope this helps.

We use the Xerox Phaser 3635MFP which we have set to a network folder that works in the way Scott mentioned.

Hi Mandi,

Any MFP that can scan to a network location is compatible with Laserfiche via import agent. One thing to check and bear in mind is if the device is compatible with Ecopy. Ecopy built a scan station that can scan directly into Laserfiche via a connector and can also add index/metadata information as part of the scan job. This is an extra on top of what is offered currently with your usual scan 'push scan' from normal MFP's.

Basically it's all down to manufacturer, and if they can push scan. Hope this helps and is the information you are looking for smileyyes

We sell both Laserfiche and a variety of MFP's. If I can help further please let me know laugh
