Workflow 8.0 SMTP authentication

asked on August 13, 2014 Show version history

At this moment we are using Workflow 8.0, We have recently upgraded to exchange 2013 and the work flow is no longer sending emails. We have the SMTP relay enabled on the exchange server, the error we get when workflow is attempting to send an email is it is attempting to authenticate. Here is the error when it is attempting to send an email

Message: System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated

This is a mail server error, not a Workflow one. It looks like your settings for Exchange 2013 are requiring authentication.

According to the System Engineer exchange 2013 is accepting anonymously from other systems, also he has sent an anonymous email  from the workflow server to him self (not using workflow) and has sent a test email, according to the SE he is stating that Workflow is asking for authentication.

how can I force it to do anonymous?
