Route entry to Group returning "the group had no valid users to route to" error 0248-WF1

asked on August 12, 2014

I am trying to use the “Route Entry to Group” workflow activity using the round robin method for the destination. I am able to get this to work, but only if I manually set up each users default folder. How can I set this up so the round robin will send items to each user’s folder dynamically? In other words, if I add a new user to the active directory group, and they have a named user license allocated, will the round robin activity automatically build out their default folder? If I manually configure each individual user's default folder location, then the round robin route to group will work, if I do not  configure the users default folder to a static path, but use the token %(RouteEntrytoGroup_User_Account Name) then I get the error above. I must be missing something simple, any help would be appreciated.

They had default folders set to use the token you specified.

Like I said before, if you use the round-robin option, the users have to have default folders assigned to them.

I'm not seeing this behavior in 9.1.1.381. What version are you using?

Here are some screenshots showing how the activity is currently configured. I have the default folder location set for the group but not for each individual user. One of the screenshots also shows how the trustee directory is configured, the distinguished name is not configured.

Miruna,

Can you tell me if your users each have default folders set up for them or are you using tokens to dynamically build them?

Thanks,

that answered my question. I ended up using a different method to create load balancing for my data entry user group.
