Question

Merging Documents 9.1.1.548

asked on August 12, 2014

Wondering if anyone else noticed this.  If I DRAG a 1 page document to another document in the above version, I only get asked if I would like to delete the original document it does not prompt me for where I would like to insert the pages.  If the document is 2 or more pages, I get prompted for where I would like to insert it, then prompted for delete.  If I COPY doing the same as the above, then I get prompted in both cases...is this a bug or by design?

Thanks

Daryl,

I can't recreate this issue. Please open a support case and provide a video demonstrating exactly what's being done in case the steps I'm performing are different from yours.

You might also take a look at the Prompts section in the Client Options and see if doing a reset helps.

One possible scenario is that when you dragged the one page document into another existing document to merge pages, perhaps it was actually a zero page document you were dragging the one page document into. In that scenario, you wouldn't get prompted about where to insert the pages. Then subsequent document merges into that document will now prompt for where to insert new pages since it now has pages.

If you retry now with another one page document and try to merge it into the multipage document via drag/drop, do you get prompted for where to insert the new page?
