Question

What settings define if the user can view any Business Process information in the Document Viewer?

asked on August 9, 2014 Show version history

I am struggling with some users not being able to see any of the business process information in the Document Viewer. There are business processes and they are always visible to ADMIN but some/most of my users just get the message that "no business processes have been run on this entry" in the Business Process pane.

It doesn't seem to matter what the effective rights are as far as I can tell. I just tested triggering a process with a user and even the user that triggered it can't see the process pane information.

What settings control the ability to view this?

No, it's just that the Security rights are in there for lack of a better place. You'll notice that the rights allow you to set all users to just view the business process, (so it wouldn't even show up in the list of processes you can launch from the Client).

Do you have any security configured on the business process?

No. The business process starts with conditions, not from the client.

The security rule applies even if you don't start the business process from the Client.

Ok so I was not planning on having that process to be client launched. I wanted to make it on conditions only. However, I could not find any ability to modify those security settings EXCEPT on the client launch conditions once I enabled that feature.

When I enabled that feature then it appears that I can view the business process details as desired.

So, is it a requirement that the Business Process must have to be able to be launched from the client in order to set security, in order to see the details pane?
