Question

recovery a set of columns when loading saved search

asked on August 8, 2014

Hi there,

So I created a few searchs and I set them to a few users, so as they click in load in the specific search they are able to see the saved search and use it, however I was wondering if I can also set specific columns as they choose a specific saved search, can I do that?

Thanks for the information.

Hi everyone,

Thanks a lot for the answers!, I just find out that the way that i did the search and saved, and imported through attributes in the admin console, it did brings the comuns with it. But only works in laserfiche 9.1.1 and newer, in the client that I was doing the test was 9.0.2 and did not work, but as soon as I updated it worked fine. but for the Client application, I am still working in the web access to do that, i did not try before, my need was first for the client.

To explain more how a did it, I took a user and create the search with the columns that I wanted, and saved, than I went to the proprietes of this user, went to Attributes tab, and selected saved searcheds, than I export the xml and with this I can add this search to anyuser that I want, and when they open the saved search it will show the search that i did put there and as they search will came with the columns also.

have a great day!

It's a good question and a feature I could use as well.

If it's not possible an alternate method might be to create a Business Process that the user could trigger manually. The workflow would run the search and present the information in an email to the user who initiated the search.

You could have workflow create web access links to the individual search results in the email for the ability to click directly to the results.

Hi All,

Attached is a white paper containing a list of common attributes. I believe the one you are looking for is Column Profile.

Hope this helps!
