Question

Personal stamps DEFAULTS not sticking

asked on August 7, 2014

We are having an issue where users apply their personal 'Paid' stamp to document.  When we go to the Draw Prpoerties page (ver 8.3) and set up how we want it to look and then click 'Set as Defaut'. Then we go to the Metadata tab and set it as protected...... they don't default.  It's like we whave to set the Protected every time.  We want it to default as protected every time it is applied.  Is there something I am missing?

Thanks

In your question, you do not mention going to the user Options dialog at all.

As I mentioned in my reply to you on this same topic, and as Pava just said, you have to go into the user settings dialog. The "Set as default" option in the properties dialog of an annotation do not apply to the security settings, only to appearance (color etc.)

Please look at the screenshot in the answer for your previous question and make sure you have those settings applied.

The defaults for whether a stamp is personal, protected, or private are in the users view options (tools\options\view\Default Annotation Style).

We set the settings... but they don't stay.  They apply the stamp, login a while later, they are no longer set to protected.  Those settings are saved to the server right?
