Emad,

Nothing should be burned into the image on page generation. Demo Watermarks are displayed or applied through the desktop Client, Web Access, and WebLink, on print, display and export, but are never burned into images contained in the repository.

Ah! Thanks for clearing that up Justin!

When I saw it in the preview pane (for a word doc for example) I assumed it was on the doc. Upon some further digging in the volume it isn't on the TIFF in the volume.

So it's only applicable here when documents are exported or printed.

Cheers Justin! yes

Justin,

So once we replace the VAR demo license with the actual customer license the "Demonstration License" watermark will not show again on the documents while viewing and printing, right?

Thanks,

Hi Emad,

This will happen automatically.

t won't however update any pages generated during the period of the VAR license. These will need re-generating to remove the "demonstration License" watermark.

Hope this helps! yes

Hi Chris,

thanks for your reply, what do you mean by re-generating? is that mean that all the scanned pages during the period of VAR license need to be scanned again once the license replaced?

Hi Emad,

No not scanned images. Just images that have been generated (right click in Laserfiche>Generate Pages).

When you print or export a document out of Laserfiche this watermark is effectively 'burned' onto the image.

The "Demonstration License" watermark is something 'superimposed' by the LF system. It doesn't actually exist on the image in the volume. Have a look in the LF volume yourself at some TIFF images and you will see the watermark isn't there.

Hope this helps explain! yessmiley
